Engelbrecht Safaris was founded in 1997. Tobie Engelbrecht is the founder / owner of the company, as well as the Professional Hunter and main guide of the company.
Tobie is a born Namibian and grew up on a game ranch with his father also being a hunting guide. Tobie was a Game Warden with the Ministry of Environment and Tourism for several years before becoming involved in the private game business and Professional Hunting. He has a degree in Wildlife Management and has been in the game industry for the last 18 years.
Tobie is a passionate hunter himself, which helps when catering for hunting clients. He will accompany you on every hunt, giving individual attention to every guest. He is a registered PH with the Ministry of Environment and Tourism and a member of the Namibian Professional Hunting Association and registered with the NTB/
Engelbrecht Safaris is run as a family business with the catering and accommodation being excellently run by his wife, Lizelle. We have two children, Sune (7) and Frik (4).
